Brianna Larson
4x6 FOUNDER / COORDINATOR
Brianna is an actor, playwright, director, and teaching artist. She graduated with a BFA in Theatre from the Tisch School for the Arts at New York University and has performed/produced her original work in New York City; St. Louis, MO; Dublin, Ireland and throughout the Tampa Bay area. Among her favorite roles are Sister James in DOUBT, Jane in MMF, Jeannie in HAIR, and Mary Warren in THE CRUCIBLE. Some of her most satisfying artistic experiences come from performing in her original work, such as when she originated the role of America in her play Fear and Loathing: AN EPITAPH TO THE AMERICAN DREAM, a bio-play about American Journalist Hunter Thompson. She also played Janis Joplin in I BET YOU THINK THIS SONG IS ABOUT YOU, a documentary theatre piece she developed about women in Rock n Roll. Currently, Brianna is the artistic director of Theatre eXceptional, a theatre company that produces shows with and about people with disabilities. She is also
the coordinator of the 4×6 Fest, a 24 hour play festival funded in part by a Jeff Norton Dream Grant from Theatre Tampa Bay. Brianna currently resides in St. Petersburg with her three cats.

Betty-Jane has been working in the Tampa Bay theatre scene since 2007. By day she works for Creative Arts Theatre, the City of Tampa's professional theatre for young audiences. There, she writes, performs in, and/or designs many of the plays they showcase. By night, she most recently directed A Midsummer Night's Dream at SPC in Clearwater. Adult audiences may have also seen her acting, scenic painting, writing, or backstage crew work on area stages. This is her second year participating.

Kara is so excited to be participating for the third year in a row and officially completing the Playwright/Actor/Director trifecta! A Tampa Bay Area native, Kara currently works as Marketing Associate at American Stage, as well as a Teaching Artist with Act-up! She received her degree in Theatre Arts from Flagler College in 2010.

W.L. is the 2017 Charles M. Getchell Award winner for his play, [Miss]. Other recent notable plays include: East Lansing (Best Play, Tampa Theatre Festival, 2014), Me In (Vigoda Award Winner, Best Dramedy, 2015), 5 to 4 (Best Play, 4x6 Fest, Tampa, Florida, 2015), Suffocation (Grand Prize, Emerald Theatre Company New Play Festival, Memphis, Tennessee, 2016), My Strange Journey (Nominee, Best Production, Pittsburgh New Works Festival, 2016) and The Nude (Best Play, A Strong Woman Play Festival.

PLAYWRIGHTS

Christen has been working in Tampa’s professional theater scene since the 90’s. She’s previously written/ directed the twisted comedy hits, Sexy Sexy Murder and The Ballad of Hipster McBigballs. Awards include Creative Loafing's Best of the Bay award for Best Local Playwright, the Creative Loafing Fiction Contest, and a Hillsborough County Individual Artist grant for her epic comedy, Chapel Perilous. She also directed the smash hit Rocky Horror Show for MAD Theatre.

Dawn has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Performance from the University of North Dakota. She has participated in over 40 productions in the last twenty years. Some of her favorites include "How I Learned to Drive", “All in the Timing", and "Rocky Horror Picture Show". She last directed "The Diary of Anne Frank" at Carrollwood Players in which she won Best Director and Best Production at the Nancy Awards. She is a founding member of the improv comedy troupe "Nine and Numb."

Zach is a proud graduate of the University of Tampa, and the British American Drama Academy's year-long London Theatre Conservatory. He is most notable as half of the popular "Best of the Bay" winning cabaret duo, Coco & Homo, and was named one of the most promising young artists by Creative Loafing. Recent Tampa Bay credits include Psycho Beach Party (Stageworks Theatre) and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom (Jobsite Theater). Zachary is the Audience Engagement Manager at American Stage.

DIRECTORS

Alicia is thrilled to be a part of 4x6 fest for her second year! Alicia is a proud staff member and teacher of Theatre 101 classes for Theatre eXceptional. She would like to thank you all for supporting local art and theatre!

Erica began her acting career at the ripe old age of four, and has maintained an obsession with performing (and probably the same maturity level) ever since. Her most recent stage role was that of Diana in Hat Trick Theatre’s production of Lend Me A Tenor. She also serves as assistant director of the improv troupe Nine and Numb, and is the co-creator of the live show and podcast Tales of Mild Interest, which premiered earlier this year at the Tampa International Fringe Festival.

Samantha graduated from University of South Florida in 2013 with a B.A. in Theater Performance. She has performed locally with Stageworks Theatre, WMNF Radio, and The 4×6 Fest. Favorite past productions include In the Next Room (Catherine Givings), Eleemosynary (Dorothea), and Sylvia (Sylvia) – a staged reading which won the WEDU Be More Entertaining Award in 2013. When not performing onstage, Samantha works as a Standardized Patient for the College of Medicine.
